So for today’s lunch,it was Puy Lentil Salad with sausages tossed in pepper. I must say I did not expect it would turn out so good especially in terms of taste and texture and as a dish in whole. To be honest we do not really eat Puy Lentil salad here at home. Most of the time its lentil soup as a side dish with rice and any other main. Can you believe even the siblings seemed to love it. 😀 However at first they were quite reluctant with the buts and whys. 😛 Well I always end up convincing them which is a good thing,isn’t it? After all that the only food critics I have for now. 🙂
I have had this dish in mind since long after watching it on several culinary shows. Oh yes im a great fan,in fact addicted to culinary shows. I watch them all but then MasterChef Uk is my most favourite at the time being. These guys are amazing and this year’s series have been so wonderful. Well done Simon! 😀
Ok now back to our lentils haha 😀 Its not difficult at all to realise at home. You will only need to be very cautious with the lentils. After having put to a boil you need to constantly check and add more water to obtain the soft mushy type. It took me around 45 mins to get them cooked. Very easy and super tasty with all the greens and carrots. You can also add feta cheese or change the whole structure of the salad. Like just add the things you love most and toss it.
