Hola with some refreshing green juice today!
A special thank you note to Tasha because if not for her, I do not think I would have gone any deeper exploring the different varieties of Detox Juice. I tried them once or twice at home to see how does it taste like really and why are so many people really fan of this diet. And surprisingly their tastes are very refreshing.Some are so nutritious and can practically make you full for at least half a day. I started with smoothies but then I find the juice better. Smoothies are rich whereas the juice is lighter and also very easy to make. You will only need a couple of ingredients.The Green detox juice is normally to flush toxins and cleanse your liver if taken regularly.The liver is the most important detoxifying organ in the body, so it only makes sense to drink fruits and vegetables to help it function at its best.
For the juice you will need a couple of ingredients as follows :
- 2 Green apples
- Half a cucumber
- 1 small tsp of ginger paste or just some diced ginger
- Some mint leaves
- Lime (I normally pressed the juice from half a lime)
- Blend all these together with a handful of ice cubes
- Serve chilled with a drizzle of honey if you do not like the ginger taste out of it.
But then it is sweet enough.Up to you depending of how sweet you like your drinks. I loved it and I like to have it on empty stomach.
